Two people have been charged after a daylight shooting in Red Deer earlier this week. Police got a report of a shooting at the Safe Harbor Shelter in Red Deer at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday. A 42-year-old man with apparent gunshot injuries was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Two people have been charged after a shooting in Red Deer this past week. Red Deer RCMP received a report of shooting at the Safe Harbour Society shelter just before 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19. Upon arrival, officers located a 42-year-old man, with apparent gunshot injuries. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Having identified suspects using CCTV footage of the incident, Red Deer RCMP, with assistance from General Investigations, Police Dog Services and the Crime Reduction team, flooded the area and located the two suspects entering a cab. Both were arrested without incident, and a handgun was seized.
