Hip Hop purists are declaring that real rap is back, as listeners were gifted a new verse from Lecrae as he dismantled “fake deep rappers who fabricate their predicaments” and reflected on his own past missteps.

In the track, Lamar voices his frustrations with the current state of the music industry and beyond. After some internal debate, Lecrae decided to respond to his Compton brethren with some bars of his own. Visually, he used white Air Force to Kendrick’s black ones, which typically denote diabolical behavior.

Last night (Sept. 14), Lecrae posted a clip on Instagram of him rapping to the beat of Lamar’s explosive new song. He also changed the original cover featuring a pair of beat-up black Air Force 1s to a pair of white ones. “Welp…this is what Lecrae would do,” he wrote in the caption.

Kendrick Lamar has released a surprise song on his Instagram page, supposedly titled "Watch the Party Die." On the five-minute song, he references Christian rapper Lecrae, Terrace Martin and what appears to be a reference to DJ Akademiks.

On Wednesday, K Dot unleashed a new untitled song in which he shouts out Lecrae and Dee-1, saying he wonders how they handle any type of friction they may have experienced in the rap game. Both rappers are known for their reflective style of rap music, where they analyze society and offer listeners ways to live righteously.
