Shortly after becoming new parents, a couple from Iroquois Falls northeast of Timmins, Ont., became $70-million richer after winning the big prize in the Aug. 20 Lotto Max draw.

IROQUOIS FALLS - Talk about beginners' luck! An Iroquois Falls couple is $70 million richer, a jackpot won on the first lottery ticket Kyle Murray ever bought. Just days before hitting the massive jackpot, Jennifer Stuart-Flynn and Kyle Murray had welcomed a new baby into the family.

To say it’s been a rollercoaster of a few weeks for Jennifer Stuart-Flynn and Kyle Murray of Iroquois Falls is an understatement. Jennifer and Kyle just welcomed a new baby into their family and, just days later,

“I had gone to the airport to pick my mom up; she had just flown in to meet our new baby,” Murray said. “I had gone to the gas station to fuel up the car, got a ticket, put it on the fridge and kinda forgot about it until the next morning, when a social media post from a friend said someone in the area had won.”

It's been a whirlwind of joyful events for a northern Ontario couple who just welcomed a baby into their family and won the $70 million Lotto Max jackpot last month.

The OLG said Jennifer Stuart-Flynn and Kyle Murray of Iroquois Falls, Ont. won the Lotto Max jackpot from the Aug. 20 draw.
